Rabbitauction.com is a simple one-page site of live auction listings of antique rugs & textiles, Asian & ethnographic art and objects of interest.
New items start at the bottom of the list and move up until they time out at the point of sale. The listing then moves into history. Bid histories are published five days later.
To register, use your rugrabbit user-name and password to login to rabbit auction and follow the prompts. For security purposes and to discourage fraudulent bidding you will have to verify your identity by registering a credit card with billing information. Your credit card will be billed one dollar ($1 USD) each month you remain registered. You may cancel and re-register at any time.(If you are a rugrabbit subscriber or feature items frequently you may have already been pre-registered. Try loging in or contact us to find out.)
We have anti-snipe (fair warning) auction extensions of three minutes after the last bid.
We cannot guarantee any item or seller trading here or any bidder or prospective purchaser. We ask buyers to be cautious and not to bid unless confident and satisfied in the item and the seller.
There are NO buyer’s premiums.
The listing fee for sellers is FREE
Our commission on each sale is 7 % of the final sale price.
As with rugrabbit, please post only antique items. Unsuitable pieces will be removed. We reserve the right to refuse any piece for any reason.

The following terms and conditions apply for all Bidders / Buyers participating in this auction venue...
1. Bids may not be placed anonymously. You will have to verify your identity by registering a credit card with billing information. This is for verification purposes and to discourage fraudulent bidding. Your credit card will be billed one dollar ($1 USD) each month you remain registered. (If you are a rugrabbit subscriber or feature items frequently you may have been pre-registered.)
2. All sales occur strictly between the Seller and the Buyer (High Bidder). We do not guarantees the sale or pieces sold here in any way.
3. All bidders should strive to ask the seller any questions (concerning payment, condition of a piece, synthetic colors, etc. ) BEFORE bidding on a piece in order to resolve and minimize the chance for potential conflicts.
4. At the close of the auction the High Bidder’s (Buyer’s) contact information will be provided to the Seller and the Seller’s contact information will be provided to the Buyer. The Buyer should contact the Seller within 48 hours of the completion of the auction to arrange payment.
5. Failure to remit payment to the Seller within five calendar days may result in the Buyer’s forfeiture of the sale.
6. The High Bidder (Buyer) further agrees to pay any and all disclosed shipping fees and applicable taxes.
7. Bidders who default on their obligations, or do not pay punctually, or engage in fraud, or generate excessive complaints will be barred from participating.
The following terms and conditions apply for all Sellers listing their pieces here...
1. The Seller agrees to pay seven percent (7 %) commission of the final auction price.
2. Please remember that this is a venue for antique (preferably at least 19th century or older) collectible and ethnographic pieces. Newer and refurbished pieces will most probably be rejected. Any item submitted for an auction listing may be rejected for any reason. Your initial listing fee will be returned.
3. Sellers must describe their pieces as accurately as possible disclosing any and all restoration and condition issues. Accurate and readable images are critical.
4. Sellers agree to answer questions from verified bidders in a prompt and accurate manner to resolve any potential points of conflict before the auction closes.
5. No piece may be sold or bought by an anonymous party. Shill bidding is strictly prohibited.
6. All sales occur strictly between the Seller and the Buyer (High Bidder). We do not guarantees the sale (including payment) or pieces sold here in any way.
8. It is the Seller’s responsibility to collect any applicable taxes or VAT and to disclose these costs upon listing their item within the description. Sellers must comply with all applicable laws within their country of origin or jurisdiction. In some countries and jurisdictions business sellers must disclose additional information to comply with the law. In these cases it is the Seller’s responsibility to disclose this information. Please set your Seller's Status and update your business information as necessary.
9. Sellers and Bidders whose conduct generates excessive complaints may be barred from participating in future auctions.
10. Items may not be withdrawn by the seller after the auction has started and must remain listed for the entire scheduled duration of the auction once accepted. Withdrawing an item from auction, especially in order to sell it independently or through another venue, is strictly prohibited and such action will prevent the Seller from listing subsequent items on rugrabbit.com and rabbitauctions.com. Once an item has been accepted for auction it will remain on public view and may not be withdrawn apart from in extreme circumstances.
11. Past auctions with prices realized will remain published. Bid histories will then be published 5 days after the auction closes.
